ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Management

The ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Management is a 120 credit size qualification and is the equivalent size and level to the 1st year of a Bachelor’s degree. This qualification is designed to develop your understanding of management and to develop key management skills.

The aim of the qualification is to provide key aspects in the field of business and management; it also provides a fast track to higher education as students can directly join the second year of a Bachelor degree.



Distance learning


In this format, you have access to your learning portal. You get a study plan to keep you on top of your studies and you get access to your online tutor to ask questions.
Monthly and quarterly instalments are also available.

Blended learning


In this format, you blend self-study with classroom based tuition.
The fees include 16 hours of class interaction, (2 hours one-to-one tuition per unit).

Academic year


In this format, students take the programme over two academic years. The duration you take up to 480 hours in classroom at Notting Hill College premises. The one academic year is around 36 weeks of studies (20 hours per week)

Distance Learning format

In this format, you can study whenever you want from the comfort of your own home. We estimate that to finish the course materials it could take 70 to 90 hours. Studying the course encompasses covering  recommended reading,  internet researching and assignment writing.

Blended Learning Format

For students who prefer instructor-led training, we recommend the blended learning training.

Eligibility
To enrol onto the Level 4 course, you must be at least 18 and have a full secondary education.

  • Mature Student: years relevant work experience may be considered.
  • International students: B2 level in English, ISE 2, IELTS 4.5 or Equivalent.

Coursework

Learners will take 4 mandatory units worth 60 credits in total and a further 4 or 5 optional units totalling 120 credits.

Assessment

To earn the 120 credits and pass level 4 Extended Diploma in Management, students need to complete 8 written assignments. The aim of the assignments is to test your knowledge and understanding of the units.
Successful completion of these eight assignments you will receive your ATHE Diploma

Graduates

Learners who complete this qualification can progress to the ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management which provides entry to the third year of a variety of Bachelor’s Degree. Graduates are also eligible to apply for progression onto a top up course through a recognised UK university on campus or by distance learning.

This qualification is eligible for Advanced Learner Loans through the Skills Funding Agency in the 2016-2017 session.
