I love learning languages, travelling, meeting people and dipping my toes into other cultures. My main foreign language is German, followed by Spanish, French and Russian. I’ve experienced the highs (and occasional lows) of living and working abroad, mainly in Germany and Spain. I’ve taught German, Spanish and French in secondary schools in the UK, and English in Germany. In addition to my British teaching qualifications, I hold a CELTA certificate, and I have many years’ experience teaching English (and other subjects) to primary school children who speak English as a second or other language. At the moment, much of my free time is spent with the demanding but thoroughly enjoyable challenge of beginners’ Arabic; I can also be found swimming, reading, at a Spanish literature class, or with friends at the cinema, theatre or concert hall.
