MR. TIM CATTERALL: BA: Hons (English), MA (English), PGCE (FE).

I currently enjoy my position as Centre Manager and Lead English Tutor, as well as TEFL teacher trainer and assessor, at Notting Hill College, Manchester.
I get the chance to work with wonderful English Language students, and interact with like-minded teaching professionals, for which I am very grateful.
I have pursued a parallel career in EFL teaching/examining and mainstream UK teaching, being qualified to undertake both areas.
Previously, I taught in Further Education colleges in the North of the UK. I started in EFL and ESOL, GCSE, A Level, and General English, and became a team leader for a Media/Film Studies Department – but never lost sight of my roots in English/ESOL teaching.
Since 2011, I felt the move to private education would provide me with more creativity in thinking and teaching, and therefore I helped to found, manage, and direct, a ESOL/EFL accredited college in Oldham, Lancashire, UK. I then moved to Preston Academy of English, north of Manchester, to become Academic Manager, and also fitted in a spell at Liverpool International College, preparing students for their first or second degrees at the University, into which the LIC is embedded.
Additionally, I am a current Trinity College London international ESOL and Integrated Skills in English examiner, and an IELTS examiner, on a freelance basis.
In my free time, I am a musician, songwriter, producer, and performer; I also enjoy walking and reading.
I am passionate in ensuring a quality learning experience for students of all levels and very much look forward to meeting you!
